June Shrink Plastic Swap
Jun 30th, 2004 at 3:34pm

The cards in this swap were absolutely fantastic! (as always!) Grin

Megan - Please could you let me know how you did the jigsaw pieces?  I've never seen them before - they look great! - a lovely smooth finish too!  Are they a punch?  Also, who is the stamp of the lady by?  I really like it.

Marion and Crafty June - How did you get the texture on your shrink plastic, please?  I'm baffled! Roll Eyes

Hi Joan

The texture on the shrink plastic is done by shrinking the plastic as a blank and then stamping into it while its still warm like using UTEE.
I like it cos it makes it look like broken glass. Smiley

Fancy Marion using the same stamp as me! That one is my all time favourite, one of the first ones I bought.
Shocked

Best  wishes
June

Hi Joan,

The jigsaw pieces come as a sheet of peel-offs which I stuck onto the card then cut around.  The lady stamp is a beautiful stamp by Rubbadubbadoo.  There's no number given, but it's a 2004 stamp from the copyright info.

Hi Joan

I have bought some of the jigsaw peel offs, aren't they a good idea.  I really like them and have played around quite a bit with them.

I have seen them in a number of craft shops you must get some.  Roll Eyes

Hi Joan
Like June said, you stamp into the shrink plastic while it is still hot.
I used Carols Cube, one of my favourite stamps, I once did a Star Book using only that stamp.
There is a lot of texture in that stamp, so it is really good on the broken glass effect.
Unlike June, I used Stazon ink to stamp into my shrink with.
The daisies were coloured in using Versamagic ink pads.

Thanks Marion Smiley.  These swaps are great for getting new ideas and information.  Thanks everyone! Smiley

You are right, Pam.  I really must get some of the jigsaw peel offs - they are a great idea.

Marion & June

How on earth do you manage to stamp in to the shrink plastic while it is still hot???  I am usually fighting with mine to keep it from flying off the table, let alone keeping it still long enough to stamp in to.  Embarrassed

I must have a go at it.
