Just having a look through the swaps thread, as I would like to get involved will there be a card swap this month?

There's the 6x4 challenge which is to create a finished piece sized 6x4 inches. This month's theme is Paper and Card, the idea being to use a different kind of card/paper than you usually do or to use paper/card in a new way.

This is also a virtual swap, create your piece and post a picture on your online album/blog and leave a link to it in the thread. Sign up in that month's thread to join in

We went virtual on some of the swaps as the postage charges limited how creative you could afford to be with the embellishments. In the virtual swap you can go as OTT with the embelishments or design without fear of it being destroyed in the post.

Don't be afraid to ask questions luv, we were all newbies once.   Virtual swapping does sound odd doesn't it  

If you click on any of the swap titles eg http://www.stampingmadforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?board=VCC there are often a couple of posts right at the top which are locked but which explain how each swap works  

We are all friendly on here, just ask if you get stuck, no one minds. At the bottom of each post you will see a button marked PM this stands for private message. If you get stuck but don't want to ask some thing where everyone can see, click on the PM button of the person you want to ask. A new window opens and you can write in there to ask someone something. Only you and them will see the message. Click send to send your message to them.

At the top of the page, once you have signed in, you will see your name, next to it will be 'you have (?) messages', when someone writes to you via pm, this is where you will find the message they send you. From the window that opens you will see messages you recive, messages you have sent and an option of storing some of your favorite messages.

Oh I am new too but I do fancy the idea of these virtual swaps#
I am on holiday still till next week but hope to take part on my return have you any links to blogs that have done this kind of swap so I can have a look please? Would love to have a look

The Virtual Crafting CHallenge is on this month, the theme is Stencilling.

Althought the idea is to have a play, feel free to go for a finished piece if you want to. We have had finished pieces posted to the challenge before. It gives people the option of taking the theme in whatever direction suits their style of working.

Check out the earlier challenges, the pictures of what people make are in the threads.
